Peter Schmitz
CSIP and Co-Founder
Peter is a co-founder of ELEV8 Aviation. He holds CFI/II/MEI ratings, is a Cirrus Standaridized Instructor Pilot (CSIP), and also holds a Seaplane rating. Peter and his wife Sam share time between Pensacola and Gulf Shores. Contact Peter for any of your aviation needs!

Dan Malott
CSIP and Co-Founder
Dan has been in aviation education and business for over 20 years. He first joined the Cirrus family as a factory instructor in 2004, and became a CSIP in 2016. Dan is an airline captain on the Boeing 737, a professor of aviation for the University of North Dakota, and has helped start several aviation companies. Dan holds CFI/II/MEI ratings. Dan, his wife Katie, and their four children share time between Gulf Shores and North Dakota.

Garrett Peterson
TCI
Garrett is a Certified Flight Instructor with his Instrument Instructor add-on and a recent graduate of the University of North Dakota. Garrett earned a degree in Commercial Aviation with a minor in Atmospheric Sciences. He enjoys helping students build confidence in the cockpit through strong fundamentals, practical decision-making, and a solid understanding of weather.
Outside of flying, Garrett enjoys snowboarding, golf, rock climbing, and spending time in general aviation whenever he can.
Cameron Brumm

As a dedicated CFII, I’m passionate about helping students succeed and confidently chase their aviation goals. I take pride in providing high-quality instruction tailored to each pilot, focusing on safety, skill, and long-term success. When I’m not in the cockpit, you’ll find me golfing, hiking, running, or spending time with friends—bringing the same energy and discipline from my personal life into every lesson.
